Tom Todd - I looked at the site you suggested.  I will pick up a few and see how they work.  Thanks!!

Yesterday, I posted a photo of the FCN after cleaning... Well, it is never that Open..

This is what it looks like, when the FCN layout is equipped for guests.

I have three leftover Dining room chairs (took awhile to find a Matching "Forest Green" for the cushions.)
I also have three of the "TV Dinner" tables, which work well, when working on scenery or track issues.. They are behind the RR lantern.
The "Green" stool is reserved for the "Dispatcher"... :D

The "Mechanics Creeper" idea was copied from Mr. Augustino's layout.  He's IS a Mechanic.
With my layout set at it's current height, the Creeper does make working, on it easier... ;)

Since there is no Trainfest this weekend, I'd like to send out a personal thank you to Jerry and the rest of the staff at the Ford City Northern Railway. They have always been such gracious hosts to me and my gang for the past few years. Seeing the FCN Ry is always a highlight of Saturday night after Trainfest. Hope to see you all next year.

I built two dozen more trees this weekend, so I was able to fill in along the backdrop.  Now, I don’t have to use crazy angles to hide incomplete portions of the layout in the distance of this scene.  Amtrak Silver Star circa 1983 and JFRTM!

Unhappy with the super dim factory ditch lights and rock lights and the lack of working class lights, I made my own for the N scale Rapido 8-40CM. Put 0603s in each of the locations for the ditch and rock lights and drilled out the class lights to put in individual 0402s for each of the colors.

I installed my WowSound decoder in my H3. JMRI doesn't seem to be able to read the CVs, but it works.

I was just thinking that last night.  It would have been odd to be loading up in warmth!  Usually it's flurrying and freezing as we pack up.

Probably for the best.  Attendance would have stunk with the Green Bay playing well, and the weather like it was.

Progress has been slow and spotty, but I have finally begun track work!

The biggest challenge so far, this Rail Craft/Micro Engineering track is a lot more tedious to work with than Atlas C55!  I suppose I could get used to shaping it as I get more experience.  But I definitely echo other reports of soldering this pre-weathered rail.  Even after filing/scraping to expose bare rail around the whole rail profile, it still puts up a bit of resistance to taking solder.  I was gifted all this per-weatherd track though, so I can't complain too much! :D

I stand corrected. Still, no matter the weekend, the point is "mute" this year.  :(

Going through some stuff to take my mind off a rough week(non election related) I found an old Atlas flat that had no deck. A little Northeastern Scale Lumber, a brown wash and a light dry brushing of a light grey. I plan to use it as a foot bridge over a creek on a TTrak module. I think I'll cut some more strips and play with other washes/drybrushing to see what different looks I can get. I've not modeled with wood before.
