I'd be happy to start a thread covering the build, and the lessons learned. I still have many more to build, but all the steps are now clear, so that would be timely.
Yes, yes, yes. Please do the thread. Preserve and extend the knowledge. Jim
Lucky me! I got this shot of @davefoxx taking a shot through the A hole. (Attachment Link)
Oh there's so much material in that statement.

Yep, a train in the A-hole. Sounds painful!DFF
More F40PH madness...I had a NIB Amtrak F40 sitting around and decided to dunk it in paint striper and convert to a Phase II MBTA unit. The major differences being a lack of dynamic brakes and standard half height fans rather than the low profile underslung Q fans of the Phase III. With the DB fan hole plugged and waiting Milliput, I replaced the radiator fan grid a part from an old Atlas GP40-2. Fans were hollowed out and shaved down to the proper height and etched parts from Trainworx used. Rivet strips are from Archer.
I have no idea what you might mean.
Little bit more progress on the Kaslo Shops whale belly cement car.
