I replaced the stock decoder in a BLI SW7 with a LokSound 5 so I would have full control over all of the functionality.  This is the first LokSound decoder I've installed, so I didn't realize I needed a LokProgrammer to configure.  @cbroughton67 loaned me his and I got the decoder configured with little difficulty.  I installed the SW7 configuration / sound pack from the EU website.  My question is in regard to the horn and bell assortment.  I don't see how to specify the desired horn and bell sound, and the LokProgrammer utility isn't very intuitive.  I'm pretty sure the selected horn is the desired Leslie A-125 but I'd like to confirm, and I'd like to hear all of the bell sounds before settling on the default (which I think is Bronze Bell 007).  Any guidance would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Which sound file are you using? I just took an example of the first one I saw after typing in SW7: http://projects.esu.eu/projectoverviews/search?cat=18&q=sw7

Example of S0560:

But the listing page on ESU will have the CVs listed for each horn and bell available, so CV163 and 164 on the new Loksound 5 files. And you can do that directly from the read/write CVs tab in the Lokprogrammer utility.

The screen shot you posted is the logic flow of the horn and bell sounds from the sound editing pane.

DO NOT MESS WITH THIS UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE DOING!

As Alvin pointed out, on LS5's, the horn selection is done via CV163 and the bell is done via CV164.  The complete text description of the sound file will list the horn and bell choices.

I find it easiest to directly program CV163 and/or 164 to select the appropriate horn and bell.  You DO NOT have to worry about CV's 31 and 32 when doing this, because CV's 163 and 164 are not "indexed" CVs.  So put your engine on the track, use Ops Mode programming (programming on the main) and change horns/bells to your heart's content.

If you really want to do it via the LokProgrammer, the horn/bell selection is done on the Sound Slot pane, in the sub-window right above the actual sound slot listing.  But honestly, directly programming CV's 163 and 164 is pretty easy.

I bring up the sound file description on my phone for easy reference then in Lokprogrammer under the Read/ Write CVs pane write CV 163 then switch to the Driver’s Cab pane to try it out. Same with the bells in CV 164. It’s quick and easy to switch back and forth and when I get what I like, save the configuration to the project.

Pics and/or install thread? Would be curious to see what you did, and how.

I’d be interested to see Brian’s install s well.
Here’s one I did. No cutting or major mechanism disassembly is required if you use the stock speaker.
