There are N scale models of Diesel Vectrons, but only dual-cab European versions.  That would take some serious modification to Americanize it.

I like the look of them.  :| I highly doubt Rapido or scale trains would do one. My bet would be first Bachman then Atlas then Kato.

Rapido only does Canadian prototypes, and no SC-44s are running north of the Border, so, they're not doing them.

I guess I wasn't aware that the EMD FL9 ran in Canada...

Albeit they are HO the new X31 box and F30 flats cars aren't exactly "Canadian" prototypes though they quite probably were on trains over the boarder.

Uh,  the correct answer is the SC-44s are not running up here YET!

in 2022 Via is starting all new trainsets from Siemens Canada, running one SC-44 at each end.

When I first saw the prototype on the old IC I thought- 'Wow, Kato will have to bring back their bluish-white LED headlights for these puppies.'

And I agree with Roger Holmes- the glowing X at night is pretty cool.  It just needs a nose to match....

Last winter the late afternoon Chicago-St. Louis train arrived after dark in Springfield, IL. My office is on the 10th floor one block east of the tracks.

I thought you retired :)

I'll pile on with the HO scale B36-7.  ;)

Got an email from Bachmann a few days ago that they're doing the HO version in the Day 1 scheme on a pre-order basis. I know it's not N scale, but I too would like to see it in N. I would hope Kato gets around to it at some point. They do love them some passenger trains.

Vectrons are in stock at Reynaulds.  While not exactly SC-44s, but maybe someone could come up with a 3D print of a new shell for the mechanism.

Here is a link to one of them: https://www.reynaulds.com/products/Kato-HobbyTrain-Lemke/H3107S.aspx
