I have had this Heljan turntable for almost 50 years and I finally got tired of looking at its monotone black plastic finish, so I did some painting and surfacing. (50 years and it is still not hooked up.  )

While I was at it, I figured the junior partner of the PRSL should have its day in the sun, Hello Reading Company! (Consider this yet another time warp on my 1950s PRSL.  )

Several new freight cars joined the revenue fleet this past week.

Two Marine Industries 100-Ton 71'-0" bulkhead flatcars built from the Briggs Models kit, representing the BCIT 818000-818119 series for international lumber service:






Two Hawker Siddeley 100-Ton 52'-6" welded gondolas built from the Briggs Models kit, representing the PGE 9321-9370 series for general service:




And two more identical cars representing the BCOL 9251-9300 series:




And three new other road cars including a CN bulkhead flatcar, a CN cylindrical hopper and a  UTLX tank car:




I am hosting Op Session #22 this evening, so will be back with photographs later this weekend.  Time to run some trains!

No, Jimmy was in the basement of our apartment building, the one we tore down. There was a suspicious, body-sized bulge in the concrete. We even called the police and had them look at it, but, alas, it was just a frost heave.

Tried out a Photon about a year ago, hated using the thing with how much of a hassle washing parts ended up being.
So I put in an order for one of these back in August.








Gotta say I'm pretty impressed, the N scale Jersey Barrier was done on the finest detail setting and is comparable if not better than what I could get with the Photon.

Like he said, an Original Prusa Mini - https://www.prusa3d.com/original-prusa-mini/ .  From everything I've read and seen, Prusa machines are pretty much the gold standard in FDM. I solved that problem very recently, having acquired Anycubic's wash and cure machine on sale. Night and day difference in the process.
