A major milestone on the Seaboard Central 3.0 today: the basic scenery around the trestle has been roughed in, ground covering and ballasting applied, and the trestle has been permanently installed.  I’m just this much closer to a completed scene.  :)

Love the work on the chip gons Tim.

I managed to get little bit of work done on my coal train.  Weathered up some GE's I have had apart in a drawer for 3or 4 years.  Re-lettered and/or re-painted a bunch of Kato Bethgons to be more appropriate for a Canadian Pacific consist.  Also started re-working some old LBF cars to give some variance.  All cars ride on BLMA 100 ton trucks and have 1015's body mounted.

Video shows the progress thus far.

Made a little more progress on the refinery project.  Completed the coal bins and the furnaces.  Started laying them all out on the in their final positions.

Absolutely loved it! The weathering looks great, could you post some photos of your Bethgons so we all could get a better look at them?

I think you are already well past the rural scenes of any layout I've done in my 50 odd years in model railroading.  I hope my "next layout" gets as far as you have on your current one.

All of you scenery wizards out there, keep posting ideas I can steal.  I will need all the help I can get.

Steve

This is the AHM/Roco car? Incredible improvement! Light years ahead of the ones I "improved", painted and decaled as a teen back in the 70s!

I had some fun this weekend JFRTM. There's a separate thread: https://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=50432.0

But there was also a bit of modeling too. I did some detailing on the 7853 pictured above, worked on de-BNing the Philly Tire Disposal Co's truck and started working on a @Rasputen Ford Econoline.

These are such nice models! It does get to be tough finding good reference photos for "typical" period vehicles that haven't been restomodded though. Anyone have a good source?

Only thing I managed to do over this weekend was run some trains for about an hour.  Still breaking in the Life-LIke Y3.  It's pretty finicky at first and then it usually smooths out.

I'm waiting on a shipment from Arizona Rock and Mineral and then I'll be able to finish one of my T-Trak modules.  I've already started planning what the next one will be, too.
