Model of this boxcar?

Does anyone have any suggestions for what to use as a starting point for a model of this boxcar? They were built by ACF.

The Micro-Trains "standard" plug door isn't too far off, but the door and door hardware are different. I've looked at a few other models but don't think they're right either. Is there something I'm missing?

@garethashenden you'll get Pullman-Stadard ends and roof with the M/T model.

Atlas makes several ACF prototypes that may get you closer, but you may need to work on the side sill and/or door depending on "how close" you want to get.

That's the FGE car? It looks close, aside from all the rivets...

I think the door is wider on the FGE car.

You may have to kitbash it.  You may be able to start with an InterMountain 50' AAR car and swap in a Stanray diagonal panel roof part from the Athearn NACC boxcar or Exact Rail.  That looks like a 10' wide door on the prototype.  I don't recall any N scale model that has a 10' wide door of that style.

The prototype has a 9' door, at least according to the ORER.

It could be cut down from an FGE door.  The kitbash is doable but it's definitely not a one-night job.

You say you wanted to start with something close. The M/T model with ends and roof is a good start. Cut the sides out and replace with styrene sheet. The sides are plain except for the weld lines, could be replicated with a scribe line filled with a .010 x.010 strip. The door could be made with Evergreen strips as well.

Or non-terminating ends and a X-panel roof if using the FMC car as a parts donor...

Here's another good picture: https://www.railcarphotos.com/PhotoDetails.php?PhotoID=90723

It looks to me that the panel lines could be done with a pencil at the end. I can't find a good overhead picture of one of these cars so I can't be sure which roof it has. Can someone identify it from these pictures? If I can get the ends somewhere and hopefully the roof I can scratchbuild the door and sides.

Looks like a Stanray diagonal panel roof from the side profile, although a better photo angle would confirm it.  ExactRail offers the part in N:  #EN90301.

They also offer the Pullman bowtie panel roof and the X-panel roof.

I've found a picture of the roof, unfortunately its not a very clear picture. I think its diagonal?

It appears to be Stanray diagonal in this photo.
