I guess I'm officially an Addict.... Photon Mono X on the way

The smell is noticeable but doesn't bother me. I can feel a sensation when I get the resin on my skin but it doesn't irritate me. The smell of the IPA bothers me more than the resin.

I actually did spend some time looking at fans after you posted that and have a few bookmarked.  I would still need a place to vent the fumes which will probably require a hole somewhere.  The best place for me to setup is floor to ceiling trains in storage which is why I've started selling off some stuff.

I actually have a perfect setup where my hot water heater vent heads to the roof.  I just can get any hvac guys to tell me it'd be fine to push a few chemical through that heated vent pipe.

The only problem with a fan is that if it's very hot or very cold outside, you have the condition (heat or cool) the air that replaces the out going air. If you have a very long print, that is going to get expensive. I just deal with the very slight smell in the basement.

Only time I smell anything is when I open the front door of the Photon and even then it is very slight. Have 2 sitting about 8 feet from me now.

I don’t heat or cool my basement sot it really does not matter.

Like John @Lemosteam my basement is unfinished except for my office/train room. I have a paint booth set up in one corner of the basement with a fan permanently mounted in a window that often runs 24/7. The fan helps keep the humidity down in the basement and also evacuates any smells I may create. Beside model railroading I also paint RC cars which creates more fumes in 20 minutes than this printer could in a day.

Hopefully that's where I"ll be after selling off a couple hundred MTL cars and get some books cases for a couple hundred books...

Looks like this is a very similar machine to the Elegoo Saturn. I wonder how they will compare in real world tests.

A very large box arrived today. Bigger than expected, going to have to modify my plans of where to set it up.

So far, the pluses, much more substantial than the Photon S. It weighs more than twice the photon. It's a really clean design and with the whole hood lifting off, a little easier to work on and clean. The build plate attachment isn't as polished as the Photon S. I really like the tapered post on the S, you know when it is seated properly. This one is a little more simple and sloppier than the S and it looks like plate leveling may be more of a task but once it is level, it won't be moving. Instead of the single bolt tightening down on a pivot ball. This plate has 4 bolts on the side and slots on the bracket. You simply loosen the 4 bolts, let the plate lay on the screen with your requisite piece of notebook paper and then tighten them down. Shouldn't have the issue inducing twist or torque when tightening like the S.

More once I get a place to set it up and power it up.

which resins are you planning on starting with?

Scolba, I have had excellent luck with the anycubic Gray and Black, personally I prefer the gray as details are easier to see without painting first

Yes, ordered it the first day. I have Anycubic, green, black, clear and gray to play with. I have the most experience with green. Black is very brittle, have not tried gray or clear yet. The clear was only bought for one purpose, printing window inserts.
