Large N /HO scale auction on Sept 10th from Stout Auctions

Just want to let folks know that Stout Auctions has a large quality N/HO auction with over 250+ lots of N .This is probably one of the best selections from them in N in quite a while - its not just MT or vintage. It appears to be mostly 1970's forward but extremely heavy emphasis on Conrail .  I counted 30+ lots of Conrail engines for example from many makers. Lots of covered hoppers, well cars, containers , and whole boxed flats of loose cars. Lots of structures, vehicles, details in unopened packages too.

If you're into HO - its a Pennsy brass-fest, and there's a good amount of O brass and G too.

There are some interesting things.  Including the ultra rare Conrail GE U50!   :scared:

Lots of intermodal, coal and locomotives.  Even a few Kato Norfolk Southern liveried GE units!

WHAT WAS THAT?  I think my Debt Card, just jumped outta my wallet, went out the front door, is running down the road to the Bank, to get itself TURNED OFF.  I'm drooling as I type!  Lotta KATO there, and somma those Con-Cor diesels were made by KATO.
And the Auction is just upstate at Stout's place in Northern Indiana.  Have a pretty good idea where I'll be the second week of September....................................................

Maybe a SMALL Bank loan?   Maybe sell a tractor?  I can miss a few meals...................

How does it work if I bid online? Is that bid then put up against the live bidding on auction day?

" 4. No absentee bids under $50.00."

And yet there are all sorts of internet bids already placed , that are less than $50.00. :?

Such a strange way to organize the lots. I definitely need 6 identical locomotives. I'm sure its easier for them, but I bet it will drive down sales. They also seem to have decided how many lots they want to have before listing them. Then they decided 200 N scale lots wasn't enough so they added letters.

I ended up bidding on 15-20 lots, won 6 Conrail Intermountain 4750 for $50 !  I'm shocked no one else bid it up, figuring there was a lot of professional resellers buying lots today

I saw that, I was working out of office when the N scale lots were being cycled. Felt like kicking myself with how low some of the big Locomotive lots went for.

While high in price for the lot ($200-350), when broken down most loco lots were going for $40-60/loco.  If I hadn't been on a buying binge lately, and preparing to pay for an addition, I would have bid up some of them just to resell them.  I just didn't want to be stuck holding the bag if I couldn't flip them.

Bid on some structure lots, but lost out late, not unlike EBay auctions where you really have to be able to be at your device right at the deadline.

I bid and believe I won the PWRS Conrail Intermountain PS4750’s / H56A’s.  I missed out on these the first time around, so I am ecstatic I won.  They will help fill out Conrail train GRB (unit grain Baltimore terminal).  Thanks @pdx1955 for starting this thread!
