Another trestle, equally tall, is under construction this weekend.

I've been refining the space between the lower and upper level loops prior to tracklaying.  I've never been one for sequential construction!



The pink foam overhang will be replaced with another tall wooden trestle supporting the upper track.



Another view of the lower trestle.  I'd been calling the lower trestle Hagerman but a miscalculation on my part is requiring the upper trestle to be equally tall.  Given that it's higher up and Hagerman was the highest trestle on the Midland at nearly 11,500 feet above mean sea level, I may start referring to the upper one as Hagerman instead.

It's just Peco code 55 with ME 55 bridge track...that's all.  No secret sauce!

Yes.

I soldered and reworked the f*ck out of that joint over and over again and I'm fearful I may have to rip some of it out.

FWIW, it causes no running issues whatsoever.........................yet.

EDIT:  Here it is from above...  It’s pretty subtle.  Remember that this is where the Peco code 55 with the bottom web ground off connects to the ME true code 55.

I’ll admit I noticed some time ago but...I know, believe it or not, knowing your proficiency, I chose not to say anything.
I wonder if that wouldn’t be a good spot for a a couple of PCB ties epoxied to a nail in the foam or one of those
gapmaster tie connectors used for bridging the gap in modules?

Not a bad idea there!

There's also a minor vertical deflection there...apparently when I anchored the trestle, that end was still a hair high.

I reworked it a bit more. The T pins are holding the guard rails in place since I had to move them a bit to straighten the running rails.

I feel like I’m gonna call this good enough for now. Everything rolls through it just as smoothly as if there were no joint.
