I don’t recall ever seeing a double track trestle in real life.
There must be one on the Nickel Plate because TK modeled it.

Looks like two side by side to me, but I may be wrong.

That's what I see too.

Most (all?) double track trestles of any size were steel.  By the time the railroad was busy enough, or prosperous enough, to need double track, it could also afford to replace the trestle.  Wooden trestles were a maintenance nightmare, fire-prone, and subject to blowing over in high winds.

One of the GN's in Montana only lasted a few years before blowing over.  It was replaced with a steel trestle, which is still in use.

Oh, no!  Has this thread got us stuck in a temporal causality loop?  Have we entered the Typhon Expanse?   ;)

I’m still trying to figure out the big wooden overpass shown by @Dave V on post #292.

Since there was no emoji, I’m going to attempt to answer this as a serious question.  The trestle in Dr. Dave’s picture is upside down, as he is trying to take some curl out of the structure with alcohol soaking and weights, before turning it right-side-up and installing it.  I hope I understood the question correctly.

This.

From the aforementioned Post 292 itself:

Also, Hagerman Trestle is "unwarping" in the back.  I had built it flat on the stringers at first but as I added the girts I had to move it around by hand.  A slight twist to the deck developed.  While I could probably have taken the twist out simply using shims when I installed it, I didn't want any torque on the Micro Engineering bridge track that would go on top.  So I soaked the stringers with isopropyl alcohol and pinned the trestle flat.

What’s the correct emoji for “warped dry humor”? I couldn’t find one... my bad.
