Identify this MOW truck?

I wish I'd taken some better photos when I had the chance.... Can anyone tell me what sort of truck this might be and what it's used for?

Thanks!

That’s a ford emblem on that last photo. And it has a folding crane arm. That’s all I got.

Thanks, Philip. I wonder if it's a rail rider? I can't really tell.

I'm no expert, but from the photos I don't see any evidence of rail riding capability. Usually its kinda obvious on the front end. Example:

Secondary ID of hi-rail vehicles is special road wheels to adjust the offset for centering on rails. Mark's truck has stock wheels.

The heavy-duty lift arm and also that one of the pics shows it proximate to rail wheelset storage, this is a wheel/axle truck.

EDIT: I stand corrected - it's for lifting/rerailing rail-borne equipment. Not enough room in the back for wheelsets. Mark, your choice in the International version underscores that correction.

Really impressive stuff.  Looks like you found your solution.  The truck is most likely a Ford D'oh ,,,, see Wazzou post  below.

Thanks, but all the compliments should go to Showcase Miniatures (that's their picture). I still need to get my hands on the kit and do something with it  :scared:

You're probably aware of this but Atlas does make the Ford LNT truck in N scale:   http://www.hobbylinc.com/htm/atl/atl2920.htm

Thanks, did not know that. I could probably splice that cab onto the SM back end.

You'll see these running slot with the welders and or welders trucks.

It’s a car repair truck. Carmen are not qualified for on track equipment. Yes there is room for a wheel set.
