Effing around with new stretch of completed scenery .....

LIRR, I really like your tree technique (wrapped up bundles of boughs atop a central trunk). I've been wondering how to make tall/skinny trees like that and that looks like just the ticket.

Thanks!

Among the many projects I’m juggling is this New Haven class NE caboose for my track-cleaning train that will be masquerading as a wreck train. I think I finally have all the design kinks out for rendering through Shapeways by printing it as mostly a flat kit and assembling after. The non-functioning headlight is a leftover from the EP-3 project. I may print another to assemble for standard revenue service, even though they ran on archbars and were long retired by 1956.

@spookshow, I think you really need a City of Sleepy Eye engine on the roster.  :)

I took one of my Modutrak modules outside this morning and shot a few photos of my Texas Special.  The cars are by Lowell Smith.  I kitbashed the engines from Life-Like shells.  Everything looks so much better in natural light.  I need to find a nice field to take this out so I don't have to use the skyboard to block out my backyard fence.

Who built these cabeese? I'm surprised at how much it looks like a "Laconia" caboose used by the B&M.

I did a little static grass application this evening.  More to come.  In the meantime, in anticipation of the 4th of July next week:

Mark:  I know the different colors aren't what you want, and agree that quality control could be better, but if anyone comments on it, just tell them that the maintainers are in the process of changing light bulbs.  The new ones are a different color.

Shop-built, in Readville MA.  I'm not sure if on repurposed underframes or newly-built.  NE-4 class was wood also and longer, they were built on the steel frames of retired wood boxcars.

Finished the newest member of the Laurel Valley Retro Fleet.

And the river scene is coming along nicely.

I don't want to start any blasphemous rumors
But I think that God's got a sick sense of humor
And when I die I expect to find Him laughing...
