Love the beer cans!   Especially Stroh's, but might have to get Oly as well!

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

I don't know if this is a one-off, but if they do a fantasy Blatz with the triangle logo I'll be in for that.

B&OH

Olympia once had a reputation what with the "artesian water" and all. I understand that the brewery was acquired long ago and is now brewed under the umbrella of some mega brewery, but can anyone tell me:
  • Was it ever good beer?
  • How is it now?

Years ago I liked Rolling Rock, but they were acquired and the new owners smashed the glass lined tanks in Latrobe PA () and moved the brewing to some mega brew factory in NJ - it's never been the same.

they were bought out by Miller, the brewery was closed and the brewing of the beer was transferred to Irwindale, CA. Oly went from being a very good cheap beer to crap that you wouldn't give your  hated brother in law instantly.

1. It was.
2. It no longer is what it was.

Oly is one of the many, many brewers that Pabst bought and shut down.  They sold the brewery to Miller, who continued to brew Oly there for a while (for Pabst to sell), but eventually closed it.  When they did, they sold the brewery and site with a contract that said it could never be use to brew beer again.    Oly is now made for Pabst in Irwindale, CA (by MillerCoors, I think).  It's no longer "the water".

Do you store these in a carrying case or your fridge?

And will a sample be enclosed in the car?

Shame. I toured that brewery in 1980. The info-mercial film we had to sit through after the tour was 1950s-style cloying, but the free beer after enduring it was certainly tasty enough. Too bad I didn't have the presence of mind to tour Blitz-Weinhard on that particular trip.  :D

Am I the only one wondering where the Yuengling is?
The fabric of reality has begun to fray.

I thought about it. I used to have to drive across the Mason-Dixon to get it "back in the day". But, seriously there are endless amounts of beers that Atlas could possibly do.

Hey Mabel, how about another Black Label?  :D

I'll need some PBR, my Dad's favorite. I even put a can in his coffin, and it rolled, then made a thump, when coffin was carried down the church steps.
Will also need some of the Brooklyn, NY brews.
