If you have WC 6582 the dynamic brake hatch needs some burn marks. I had it on fire pretty good.

I am planning on doing some SD45s as some point, but I won’t be able to use them on the White Pine. The only 6 axle power allowed on the line was the SDL39. The bridges wouldn’t hold the SD45s.

I seem to remember a bad derailment on the White Pine line involving an ore train. I remember there was a CSX Sd40-2 that was damaged along with WC 6505. 6505 ended up on its side at the bottom of a pile of three or four locomotives. I was repaired and continued in service.

Back on track... I’m close to finishing my first two WC engines. Special thanks to Dave (@nwline) on this project. He supplied me with some invaluable supplies! I put the GP40 and GP35 shells on LokSound equipped chassis. I still need to weather them and add the working ditch lights.

If you discover that you enjoy weathering, You must build the WC 4000s. They always had oil leaks, exhaust stacks broken etc. They were a mess.

I think they started out as GP35s, they were de-turbo'ed etc...

The 4000s were a lot of de-turbo’d ex-MP GP35m’s. I love weathering, my next engine will be WC 700, it is the definition of rusty. It’s also the only WC engine I know I’ve been for a ride in.

I’ve finished making my WC #14 radio control platform for the White Pine crews. It still needs some dirt.

Yes, the 700 was rough looking but I think the 703 was the worse looking one, 719 wasn't exactly pretty either.

I have a story about the 703 and the Fond Du Lac roundhouse wall....

The WC # 14 radio control platform car looks sharp.  I've never seen that or anything like that before.  Is that a kit/3D model or was that kit-bashed/scratch built?  The large windows with the rounded corners look really good.
