Very nice!  Judging by the thin walls, it appears to be made of metal (brass?).  How did you model the rivets?

Thanks for the compliment. The basic body is a styrene box wrapped with very thin aluminum sheet. I made the rivets with graph paper and a push-pin. Very time-consuming, but since I'm "semi-retired" I have a lotta time to consume :D

On that steam tractor, there were some big ones built in England for hauling freight wagons.  They were commonly referred to as "road locomotives".

I've been learning the ins and outs of resin printing for a while now.  Testing some small items first.    It's been a bit of a struggle to get smooth straight prints on larger bodies, but I'm gettin' there. :)

I'll know in about 5 hours if I've got a good one.

I have spent the last couple of weeks making several dozen hay bales (a strangely relaxing process) and today they were finally placed in two fields, completing a scenic feature that I had been wanting to create for a long time.

Working to all hours with my little pals burbling away over there in the corner.  Looks like I might need to clean some wheels...

Fantastic looking scene. And I applaud your efforts on the hay bails - they are a lot of work!

Captain's log, supplemental. Spent quite a bit of time this week rebuilding the working crossing gate mechanism.

That looks great. I can just picture a tractor with the bale spike loading some bales and the smell. That brings back memories. Outstanding scene

Lazy Railroad movie Saturday. Switchback, Unstoppable and Runaway Train. Love Switchback with D&RGW/SP
action. The Switchback scenes I believe was Tennessee Pass or around Pinecliff. Unstoppable did a decent
job, love 777, a CP unit for the movie. Runaway Train filmed on the ARR from Portage to Whittier.
I knew someone built the lash-up from the movie. Found the pic.

I haven't got much modeling done lately as the weather here in CO has been really nice.

I am making progress with my .2mm etching project, but since I want to model the vestibule open, I'm having to slowing work my way to see what all is involved.

This is the factory end.

Here's the end opened up.

The strip at the bottom of the side door is just for strength at this point and will be removed.  And the end door isn't all the way to the bottom of the diaphragm yet.  I need to figure out the bulkhead as the interior insert doesn't fill to the side wall or to the ceiling.

While not up to DKS' level, it will serve to illuminate a side room in one of the Cedar Street houses.

What a coincidence...

Just Got my new and very quiet  Makita air compressor.  Converted a furniture removal dolly, so I can wheel it around and made up a hose holder, all out of scraps I had lying around and installed under the layout.
Next is to plumb in an airbrush line and drier close to the work bench out of shot off to the right.

The compressor is brilliant, I love the quality of this thing.
