Voting for the Sixteenth Annual N Scale Vehicle of the Year Award is now open.  Because we had more new vehicle models than enhanced vehicle models this year, we do not have two categories.  You may only vote for one nominee.  An illustrated ballot is shown below:

Oh Carter, it is such a tough choice this year!  Those are all excellent models, and most have never been produced in the past.

Can I pick more than one?!   

If I can only pick one, I vote for the Showcase Miniatures aerial ladder truck.

Showcase Ladder Truck is my top choice, but any other year it would have been the River Point Ford HDs.

I'm a bit surprised how many new vehicles we got this year. That's quite a lot.

The Showcase Grumman LLV qualified for this year's award, but it will also qualify for next year's award since it was released after January 1.  The release window for this year's award was January 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020.  And while I could have included the LLV in this year's voting, it really would not have been fair to Showcase to have their models competing against each other.  That has happened in the past where a manufacturer had two models competing in the same category.  That manufacturer's models got most of the votes cast when the votes for their two models were combined.  However, another model won the award because it received more total votes than any of the other models.  In other words, manufacturer "A" had model 1 and model 2 as nominees.  Manufacturer B had model 3 as a nominee.  Model 1 got 40 votes, model 2 got 45 votes and model 3 got 50 votes.  Model 3 won the award with 50 votes even though manufacturer A's two models received a total of 85 votes.  I hope that explanation makes sense.
