Canadian/Canadien National cars

I am going though my shelved projects to start back up on while funds are dry. I have about a dozen TLT newsprint cars in CN. I have been upgrading them with proper ride height, metal wheels and body mounted couplers. But the incorrect paint is really annoying me. They should have "Canadian National" on one side and "Canadien National" on the other. The models just list the English version.

I looked though the MS decal inventory and there is nothing that would seem to work for this.

Does anyone have access to an Alps who could print "Canadien National" and a few car numbers? I would compensate you for your trouble.

These were a staple car in the era I model and I really want to do them right.

Well, if those are still around, that would be an easier alternative (and no clear decal film to worry about).

Is this the set?

Pete, no artwork. I'm trying to track down the correct font and measure the lettering.

Would this be suitable for artwork: http://www.microscale.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/87335_zoom.jpg

Would this suitable for artwork:

Seeing as MicroScale still has those sets available for sale, I don’t think stealing their artwork is very ethical.

Seeing as MicroScale doesn't make that set in N scale, and the OP probably isn't going to be reselling them, do you still have a problem with it?
What is your better solution?

There is also this microscale set that has the Canadian/Canadien National:

As for creating artwork, the CNRHA has made all CN fonts and logos available for download and use:

I was asking Daniel if he had print-ready, or almost-print-ready artwork in vector format.   And since he only needs the "CANADIEN" lettering and numbers, those seem to be standard fonts, so that should be fairly easy to duplicate without any "stealing".  The only thing to figure out is the lettering size.

You might check out Black Cat Decals.  They have a couple box car decal sets with both spellings.
https://www.blackcatdecals.com/product-category/n-decals/cnr-n-decals/cnrnfreight/

PS- I am offering this only because I knew they made decals with both spellings.  I have no specific knowledge on whether these are appropriate (color, size, etc) for the particular cars the OP wants to decal.  Would advise contacting Black Cat on what exactly is included on the decal sheet, how many cars can be done from 1 sheet, etc.  That said, I have used their CN and GTW passenger car decals with great success (and the 1954 passenger set also includes decals for "Canadien" spelling in addition to "Canadian").

Tom D.

I have a mind like a steel trap...a VERY rusty, old steel trap.

Looks like CDS is finally gone.  They had a great selection of Canadian lettering.  I bought my last ones last year, from Ozark Miniatures, and their site now says nothing is available.  No listing, no explanation, just "Sorry, there are no products in this collection" when clicking on "CDS Dry Transfers".

Unfortunately I don't have the #279 set, so can't tell what's in it.  If you can find them, I know the following sets have both spellings:
#25  CN 40' steel box
#50  CN 50' auxiliary door box
#66  CN 50' plug door box
#215 CN 40' dbl-door steel box

Your previous post did simply state "artwork", not "print-ready, or almost-print-ready artwork in vector format".

You are correct Sir!  It was implied, and I from Daniel's response I believe he understood me correctly.  His request was "Does anyone have access to an Alps who could print "Canadien National" and a few car numbers?"  No mention of anything else but the plain lettering and numbers.
