<Bevis voice> Heh, heh, he said "ball." </Bevis voice>

I want you to know that I chuckled to myself as I typed out "ball joint".

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

Where a thread about a PRR switching tower winds up discussing trombone valves. Direct link. I would have to give TRW the "Best Thread Drifting Site on the Internet" award.

We are the best at it! We will get back on track (pun intended) soon enough.

I'm getting the rest of my unitrack tomorrow.

I got all my track now for a 4 track main super elevated shitshow of centipede parades!

I'm either done ballasting, or done caring about ballasting MG. I think I'm at a good place. I spent the weekend fixing turnouts that wouldn't turn...out.
I tried oiling the stuff but eventually decided to cut out the bottom of the module to make an access panel. I then removed cover plate on the bottom of the turnout and cleaned everything. Despite it looking like I did nothing, the turnouts seem to switch again.

It was the sound of the wood being cut that scared them straight. They knew you meant business. Like when they put the ball gag in Marsellus Wallace's mouth.

Back from the dead...again.
A recent visit from the Ed K. has sparked joy.
The Kapuscinski Device has been reactivated.
All the Unitrack is now painted for the full loop. I am using CMR modules and the endcap was a prototype. Only one was made to see if it would work. Well, it's gonna work out just great. Problem is now, lumber and COVID, so they are hoping to do another one up for me in January.
