The single-window coach makes an appearance in NYC two-tone gray and CB&Q pullman green.

Also, this NYC boxcar two-pack with reporting mark errors:

That NYC April Fools set is cool, but I am unable to find any prototypical reference to it on line...

I did see a model photo of one of the cars.

according to MT- "These 50’ standard box cars with single door are black with brown sides and run on Bettendorf trucks. The paint crew was clearly distracted when they stenciled the reporting mark of this prototypically accurate car. And we ain’t foolin’ ya! The real-life cars actually displayed an incorrect “NCY” and “NYO” reporting marks for at least a decade. Built in 1955, this lot of 500 cars was designed with loading racks to facilitate loading and unloading."  While I do believe them, this is one of those times where a picture of the prototype- or at least a reference to the publication it's in-  would be helpful to serious modelers.

On the CBQ coach, in addition to the plain Jane green version available this month, it appears that at least one of the 4500 series cars spent some time in the suburban service color scheme-

And another wore red, white and blue-

So, plenty for Joe and Co. to work on for future releases.

Looks like something the N Scale Enthusiast group might release as a special run item.

Sure does.

Too bad NSE didn't wait for the correct bodystyle that they knew was coming at that point.

Re the PS six wheel passenger trucks, if the centre axle is indeed centred, how can the bolster hole be centered?  Looks offset to me . . .

Good to know MTL is considered an "essential" business and can get these out. We could use a little normal these days.

Tim,
The bolster on this version of the truck is (I think) slightly offset- but less so than the truck used on previous MT heavyweights.  In order to use the 4 wheel truck under the single window, the bolster needed to be located closer to the end of the car, and this meant reworking the 6 wheel truck in order to give us both 4 wheel and 6 wheel versions without having to produce a second carbody and underframe.

I am also wondering if these might work as a replacement for the "not what I paid for" trucks and wheels under the Atlas head end cars I have.  (Atlas having the same issue of trying to accommodate both 4 and 6 wheel versions under their 60' cars)

I like the aluminum loads on the bulkhead flat. I see those in the yard sometimes.
