Wonderful. I was hoping for the old school controls

The Lionel bit was not meant to be insulting to you or to Lionel. I’m sure many of us have fond memories of that.

The difference from Lionel is your stunning animation innovations and devices vs. their toy like designs.

No "wizardry." Controls will all be old-school toggles and pushbuttons--in the vein of the Lionel layout in the local hobby shop, perhaps, but only where the controls are concerned. Hopefully none of the effects come off as Lionel-ish when operating.
Wouldn't some sort of operating milk car be appropriate for rural New Hampshire?

so cool! manual control and allowing others to activate the various animations
draw people into the railroad and have them become part of that modeling
so glad to hear that such is the plan. very well played!

Nothing short of amazing.  I don't recall ever seeing anything simulating moving water on a model railroad.

This is the single best rendition of a water feature I’ve ever seen.

Unobtainium has been obtained.

That effect is incredible! Very well done, DKS!

Question for the mods, is this thread a “best of” yet, and if not, why not? This is a college education in creating animation effects.

Are you freaking kidding me?  I know the secrets to that waterfall, but it is still hands-down the most realistic water effect that I have ever seen.  Outstanding, DKS!
