PRR B6 #60

Last Friday I took the long way home from work just to ride the new bike a little further. I went through Hochessin, DE where the PRR B6 #60 has been sitting for about the past 20 years if not longer in the same spot.  When i looked over the I noticed she was gone.  I know she is a rusting wreck and would need a tremendous amount of work just to make her look presentable anywhere to the public eye.  I've climbed all over this little girl many times. She has been striped of most items but still had her bell and head light the last time I looked.
Just wondering if anyone knows where they took her. Perhaps down to the W&W Yard ? I go past there at least 2-3 days a week but haven't noticed it there either.

Oh man, I can only hope she ended up somewhere good (like the AOS Roundhouse).

As fine of a machine as #58 is at the W&W, another running small PRR engine would've been awesome.

Nothing is impossible but i don't think they would ever even think about restoring it to run. Needs too many parts so most will have to be made pretty much like the T1 trust. However it would be good to see her restored and inside. but again that alone is major work and lots of $$$$$$$$.

Ok, ironically it's been a year and a week and I found #60. Kevin from the Wilmington & Western told me they moved her up next to an old abandon mill off of Yorklyn Rd north of Hockassin, DE. Got on the bike and rode up today. They removed her bell which was good because i'm sure the natives would have removed it for them and sold it for ten bucks to buy dope.  The natives already got busy with graffiti and as an extra sad note, during my visit to the old girl I climb inside the water tank in the tender just to what the baffles looked like in this one. To my surprise there was a large trash bag filled with needles and full bottles of Lidocaine and a lot tossed around in the water tank as well. I guess the junkies do their thing in there.  I reported that to the RR and let it up to them which I sure nothing will happen unless the weld a hatch over top the opening.
She's in very rough shape and I see no hope for this one, one of two PRR B6 that exist today.
Another note, she is one of the few PRR engines that never got the belpaire boiler.    Please excuse the high amount of glare.

Wow!  I didn't even realize she still existed!  I thought I knew all the remaining Pennsy steam.  Thanks for the pictures!

I doubt she is that far gone, I have seen far worse restored. I mean look at J&L 58....
