A lot of it was good timing. I had just redesigned a big porch project and the remodeling contractor had just taken off the old columns.
A few slices of plywood a couple of turnbuckles and some cable later and Thud was flying across the stage.  I'll reveal the method of propulsion sometime after opening night on Friday.

Those are very cool, and make a great looking load. Nice job.
What era would they be appropriate for? Probably too new for my ‘51 cut off date?

True, but, as far as I could tell, those types of combines were more 70s and 80s.  But, I think I can get away with sticking one in a farm shed set in the early/mid 1950s, so long as the A$$hat Brigade doesn't add it to their list for rivet counters to check when visiting layouts.

This weekend was the Copetown fine scale trainshow and RPM in southern Ontario.

Great to see displays from another RPM meet elsewhere in Canada.  Looking forward to ours in May.

I don't think I really understand how the human cannon goes with 'working on some scenery'...I don't even want to guess what you mean by 'scenery'.

I was more concerned with the statement that "children are a renewable resource"!  Hopefully, the birth rate for the "ammunition" can at least keep up with the rate of fire for that contraption?!
