@propmeup1 Got some new info on that from a customer who wanted the shroud scaled up to HO, and he provided a link to a brass version two weeks ago.  This is well after I designed the shroud and the first time I had ever seen any form of overhead view of 1188.

@Lemosteam John...by chance have you created a shroud that would fit a Minitrix K4?

thanks

Still wondering if the bell was under there or moved to another location.

@propmeup1 I can find no evidence as to its location.  I will ask the PRR Facebook group.

@propmeup1 Consensus on FB thinks that the bell is under the shroud near the slots in the shroud as shown in this photo.  Still no consensus on the steam generator.

I thought I had an answer for the generator, but then realized I was completely off.

Does anyone have a photo of the OTHER side? Theoretically the electrical conduit to the cab will be exposed somewhere.

Interesting engine.  I'm still looking for the lower half of 1361 in Altoona. Boiler, tender and most paare in the museum roundhouse but no one there seems to know anything about her frame etc.

ok ... some progress

after the second painting
and witjh decals
(Attachment Link)

(Attachment Link)

it is good for the 3 ft test
unfortunately the closeup photos show the imperfections

1. the decals seemed to be too brittle (age: 10-12 yrs?)
2. i could not extend the stripe back any further as it kept breaking into little pieces
3, thus, the PENNSYLVANIA onm the side in align, ment with the stripe
4. those numbers are really difficult to deal with (their size) even with good lighjt and magnification
5. i realize that the decaling really takes this foob to a new level of foobism
6. maybe since this is meant to be a foob just having something that looks a little PRR is better?

going to take a few days and decide whether to try decaling again or if it is good enough and time for some dullcoat

sincerely
Gary

@glakedylan , looks great, but did you mean to place this post in your BL2 thread?
