Component cooler

Now that local Radio Shack stores are no more, are there any "local" sources for electronic component cooler?
I hate to order something online when the shipping costs more than the product.
I've used this stuff for years when ever removing/installing LED's or SMD's.
The can I got from RS is getting low.
 Thanks,
 Joe D

Joe,
That "freeze spray" (as we used to call it when I was working as an electronic technician) is a specialty item designed for electronic throubleshooting market.  So unless you have some sort of electronic supply store around your area, I doubt you will find it locally.

But I'll tell you a secret if you promise to keep it to yourself!  :D Buy any of the "compressed air" or "dust-off" aerosol cans, and spray it while it is upside down (like they warn you *NOT* to do it on the label), you will have your freeze spray.  And this stiff is readily available from many sources (office supply stores, Sam's Club, Costco, etc.)

I think it might even be the same liquefied gas used in both, freeze spray and in the dust-off.  It is just that the freeze spray can has a siphon tube inside, so liquid comes out when sprayed, while the dust-off does not (so only the gas on top of the can comes out).

LOL, Pete. I got a good freeze burn from the old style Dust-Off cans, with that re-usable chrome trigger. :(
I get canned air at the local wallyworld.
 Thank you Sir Pete.
