Awesome, thank you for sharing that @Ed Kapuscinski !  That leased power would look great on the layout, I had previously read about it here:

I squeezed in some time this afternoon working on some stairs; a few railing sections remain:

With the addition of unloading hoses, the Castrol facility is now open for business!

Not much in the way of updates, as I have been enjoying some time JFRT!  I did add a little breathing room for switching, which also provides some (removable) staging as well:

@chuck geiger here is a closeup of the NZT ground throw I mentioned in Weekend Update.  @DKS deserves so much credit for bringing these to market!

Frank, I really like the simplicity of that industry!

Appreciate your comments, Allen @Bendtracker1 .  I took some liberties and eliminated the overhang of the prototype facility.  It could also use some more weathering, but it's a suburban industrial park, not an inner city chem plant after all  :|

Over the weekend I finally got these abandoned 40-foot trailers off the workbench and onto the layout; these are old Wheel Works kits that I have had forever!

Tonight I also put a pair of home road boxcars into service (thanks Ed K).  Here's the Conrail local pulling them off the NH&I interchange track:

And a trackside view showing the ride height after filing down the bolsters and body-mounting 1015 couplers:

Time to bear down on the last two feet of scenery...  got some .040 styrene sized and cut for the four-lane road crossing (PA 132 for you locals).  Paint and lane markings are next!

Took some time away from projects tonight to just switch some cars!

Love it!

This reminds me of something you might find interesting.

John Almeida, OaksModelRR for those of you know, has posted a bunch of his videos of the Philly area from the 90s&2000s. Including an awesome cab ride on the CSX local that ran from Landsdale to Greenwich and back. Granted, it's at night, but it's very cool footage.

Appreciate the comments @Bendtracker1 !  I wrote up some details over in the Weathering channel last year, I will dig that up.

And thanks for the video @Ed Kapuscinski , love the discussion in the cab, Philly accents and all.  "You don't need a Form D" LOL!

Highway lane markings are happening!  Need to finish it off with dashed yellow lines in the middle turn lane and some weathering...

It's been a minute since I have updated this thread!  I ran a nice switching session tonight with a small train - boxcars to be set out at the interchange and loaded tank cars to be spotted at the Castrol facility:

Inbound crossing Street Road (crossing gates to be installed):

After a runaround move, shoving the boxcars onto the New Hope & Ivyland interchange tracks:

Exchanging loads for empty tank cars:

Pulling two empties off the team track:

Running around the train (right to left), about to couple up and head back to Lansdale (staging):
