Ngineer:  I'll also second (third?) your NCL.  Not only would I buy the trains, but the dome coaches are also needed for the GN/BN/Amtrak Empire Builder.

For that matter, most of the NCL cars went to, or were leased by, Amtrak, and many of them ran in Amtrak paint, as well as a few in BN paint.  So whoever makes the train can sell more than just NP.

My wish list:

Amtrak Acela by Kato or Rapido Trains

Actually the shells of Bachmann models are quite well done.  If they could somehow rework/improve the mechanism and re-run that set, I would be quite happy.  Bachmann Acela items still sells on eBay for a pretty good penny (I have it in my eBay watch list).

A Gunderson twin stack well car in red SeaLand painting would be nice, too. We haven't seen one in a long time for N scale.

It's a shame that Deluxe Innovations had to cease operations. Their containers were great IMHO.

Fox Valley Models now owns the tooling for the DeLuxe containers, and has announced new runs of the containers.

Edit:  They were showing the containers at Trainfest in November, but I have not been able to find an official announcement for them.

I must have missed that development... Did they acquire all of the Deluxe tooling?
Hoping the AAR 1944 boxcars find a new home.

Here is the latest I could find on Deluxe.  Apparently, tooling for some models (trailer and hi-cube containers) was "not returned" by Chinese manufacturers, but tooling for the 1944 car and standard  containers went to Fox Valley.
http://deluxeinnovations.com/

Meanwhile, the "Deluxe" page at Intermountain  continues to list part of the product line (but no 1944 cars) as "in stock- contact your dealer"
https://www.intermountain-railway.com/distrib/deluxeinnovations/deluxeinnovationsn.htm

While no longer "state of the art", I suppose, I am also a big fan of the Deluxe 1944 boxcar and have several buried in one or another box. (I gotta build this layout I keep talking about so I can run some of this stuff instead of keeping it all in boxes...)

If someone produced an accurately-dimensioned N scale SW1500 with sound and SP details, my head would explode.

Nice! that's good to read, The Deluxe car is nicely tooled and holds up well next to more modern models.
Very happy it has found its way into Matt's hands...

Folks,

Are the dies etc. from De Luxe innovations for making Roadrailers been acquired by Fox Valley as well? It would be nice to see them out again.

Most of the items on the 2018 edition of this list have actually been released and/or announced*, so I'm as content as a modeller can be.   :)
But since you asked, I'll start with re-release requests, in priority order:
  • Fox Valley wheels, w/ and w/o resistors.
  • Atlas/BLMA 100T trucks.
  • Kato flared SD70M with a standard cab.  Great to see the flat rad model queued up!  Please do a vanilla UP scheme.
  • Atlas/BLMA 5-unit spine sets.
New models I'd love to see:
  • Articulated 53' well cars, Trinity or NSC. (Thanks to N Scale Kits and JTC for the singles!)
  • TTRX 1/57-2/28 spine sets.
  • A single-panel 73' centerbeam flat with proper wheelbase, ride height, end details, and car weight.
  • Multi-max auto rack.
  • Any short modern tank car.
*Models I thankful for:
  • Trinity 3281 2-bay hopper (but coming up on 4 years since these were announced...)
  • 53' NSC well car (thanks JTC!)
  • TBOX 60' box car (thanks MT!)
  • NSC coil car (thanks Briggs!)

Larry,

It is my understanding that those dies got "lost" in China.
