Thinking of using Tan Rit dye in my sculptamold for my mountain and ground cover.Has anyone tried it and did you use the power dye of liquid dye?Going to make small batches maybe the size of a large cool whip container.Just wonder how much dye to use per container?

I’ve been using this mixed with sculptamold , I think I tried it because I had some around the house. I like it because it has a very flat, “earthy” finish. It only takes a little bit to color a batch. I usually mix a batch  up in a old plastic sour cream container. I’ve used cheap acrylic paint also and it work about as well.

Same here.  Never tried Rit but tried tempera and inks.  The cement colors are "natural", probably extremely finely ground carbon black and iron oxide.  They are also cheap; a little goes a long way.  A bottle will probably last thru a 40 lb bag of Sculptamold.  Home Depot here only stocks two of the five colors.
