Powerpoles aren’t hard to find at all. Powerwerx has them in spades.

OK, for those of us following along at home, which of those 200 options are you talking about (ie: are the TTrak standard), assuming that no one is wiring their layout with 50 amp, 600 volt circuits...
Tom D.

I have a mind like a steel trap...a VERY rusty, old steel trap.

The housing is the same regardless of which connector you use; PP15, PP30 or PP45.

As for the connector, they all mate with each other.  The difference is the crimp end, how thick of a wire it can take.  In my club we use 16 gauge oxygen free speaker wires to build our bus wires so we use PP15.  But if other clubs want to use 14 gauge or even 12 gauge (both of which is overkill unless you have a GINORMOUS run) they can do so and our bus can connect with theirs with no problems.

Yay!  Homemade tools.
Yay!

Nice work.

Just finished up my Kato wheel axle press.
Parts used:-
1 x eBay watch pin press $2.62 free shipping from China
2 x off cuts from a micro engineering bridge deck which just happened to be the right thickness 2.7mm with a hole drilled in one piece and the other piece used as a backer to blind the hole.
1 x small off cut of oak hardwood to act as a spacer and account for the watchpin press’s anvil being beveled and not perpendicular to the press screw over its full length.
1 x aluminum nail put in the end of the press screw.

Result, repeatable axle adjustments for less than 3 bucks.

Well if we are all going to be stickelers about it - there's not a hobby shop of any kind closer then 1.5 hours to me.  So if I want to run out and grab, these are readily available.  Anything requiring ordering isn't readily available.

While not just a few minutes away, Amazon has them.  Some are available Next Day "free" (for Prime members).  At least here in Saginaw (Fort Worth), TX.  Hopefully in MS as well.

Not a lot of color selection though.  Mostly just Black/Red.

My FREMO group participated in a show in Germany a few weeks ago; but I only found time this weekend to process some of the pictures....

Is that an NP-themed mill scene I see?
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

Yes, it is NP themed.
I have build a group of modules to represent Hoquiam, WA.

The backdrop was temporary just for the public show as typical Fremo Moduels don’t have one
But it adds depth to the scenes and makes for better photos

Cheers
Dirk

Nice work - that backdrop certainly helps make for a nice photo, and the mill looks great!

@Caddy58   - Dirk, I'd like to see some more photos of this module/s if you have any available.

Sorry if I shouldn't have done this...

But I thought this image would be impressive when given an "old school" look.

And it is.

This is not worthy of the rest of the work in this thread, but I've been SLOWLY making progress.

You think your progress is slow??  This is after moving into a newly built house nearly two years ago (Jan 3rd, 2018)

Not to belabor the corn discussion, but its more about color than sheen.  What Mark has is a great match to real corn.  Unfortunately, that color clashes with the Woodland Scenics colors we predominately use on our layouts.

I played around a lot before settling on something darker and a bit brown.  See an NSR article way back when for more details on the paints as I have since forgotten.

Love the edge of the field where the corn hasn't grown fully/is dying... Very nice touch!
