Interesting that they are calling it a "Transcontinental" train. I like that they are not trying to pass it off as a true Supercontinental.

Out of my timeframe, but CN did buy a large number of cars from US roads in the 1960s and 70s as passenger service was cut back and eventually Amtrak came into being. ... and my recollection is that CN also ended up with a number of plan 4140 cars from NYC.
Yeah.. I was just gonna ask.. if there are no steam generators....I see some photos with power cars behind the locos, but I assume the photos without power cars have steam generator F7s... right?Like so.. OR.. maybe.. MAYBE.. they assume us rivet counters will use FP-9s, and Kato is doing freight F7s to expand the market.. And those who don't care.... won't care.. ~Ian
