Operating on the Appalachian and Ohio O-Scale layout

Yesterday I had the privilege of operating for the first time on Dave Stewart's amazing O-scale Appalachian and Ohio layout:

https://www.aorailroad.com/

Dave and his team are incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful people, and graciously endured my rookie questions.  I mostly operated the switcher at Linwood yard, but also got to work the Shay at one of the coal loading branches - here is a quick vid that I took when the opportunity presented itself  (sorry if this looks dark, the dim lighting is to represent night/rain conditions, but the Shay looks and sounds great in any case ;)):

If you ever get the chance to visit, the A&O should be at the top of your list 8)

I got to operate there during Rockyops earlier this year.  My buddy got to work the operating hump yard, I got to move a heavy coal train with live loads and dump it.  Very cool big time stuff.

Ed -

I'm glad you were able to make the A&O op session, and hope you can attend many more. I was very impressed by your MRL GP9 and EDNX box car. But the railings on that N-scale engine were sheer poetry. They were really too small for me to see without an Optivisor!  :D

From my Rockyops session - here's layout owner Dave Stewart with my travel partner Greg McComas.  The A&O has some "people tunnels" to go from area to area on the layout.

Here's the loaded coal train I got to run down to the dumper (live loads).  I swear I could actually feel the floor shaking!

I need my tri-focals and strong lighting ;)

Awesome!

Does anyone know if those are All Nation F3s?
