Great Proto:48 Write-Up (and more!)

For anyone who may ever been intrigued by the idea of Proto:48, here is an excellent write-up about Proto:48 from Mike Cougill's blog.  Mike is a very talented and prolific modeler with a great deal of expertise in P:48 and a long resume of published works:

Here is another very insightful blog entry from Mr. Cougill (scale in dependent, really):

Since trackwork is so core to P:48, here is a link to an FB group that focuses on taking trackwork to that next level:

And since modern-era O-scale has been discussed:

Thanks for posting this link; although way above my skill set, it makes for fascinating reading...

I just ordered Mike's track book not too long ago. It's a good read with lots of prototype detail. Well worth getting even for modelers in smaller scales...

I do not get this link to work. "Bad link or page removed?" is the message from fb. Has it gone bad?

I've bought several of Mikes books both physical and E-books. He's a very thoughtful and thought provoking writer. Very passionate about his subjects too.

And very pleasant to deal with, may I add.

Thanks for the reminder as I have that downloaded and in my files.

Just tried it and it seems to work now.
