What the hell is a single window coach? They all have more than one window to my non passenger fan eye.

Single window is one of those terms that must have been invented by a railfan or modeler, but refers to a coach with 16 or more small, evenly spaced windows, like this

A paired window coach has similar small windows but arranged in pairs with wider spacing between pairs

And just to make it more confusing, a few roads had coaches with fewer, wider windows

MTL announced that they are offering to replace the brown CNJ gondola car 105-00-300 with one painted black, which will be available next March or April, if the cars are sent back to them by December 2nd. The new black car, with a new item number 105-00-301, can also be (pre)ordered on its own.

So, the collectors/speculators can hold onto and/or scoop up the remaining incorrectly painted brown cars while the modelers can eventually get the correctly painted black cars.

Actually, they've done 2 runs of the NKP composite hopper in 2 shades of brown - and they were only ever painted black.

Apparently the car was part of a class of two, with roadnumbers 3000 and 3001.
Have you seen a prototype photo of either one?

That's a very likely scenario.  Atlas did the car in O with a white logo however.

As far as I know, the Pullman green express boxcars were the only CNJ freight equipment to get yellow lettering and heralds, and the heralds weren't that large on the express boxcars.
