Dennis,

Congrats on the article, well deserved.  I'm enjoying your videos on the layout construction and am looking forward to the next on your staging yard.  I thought the yard design was a little over complicated but then again I'm not the one that had to build all the switches ;).  So you do you or you go girl or what ever the current hip vernacular is .

Scott

Thanks Scott!,
Yeah, unfortunately it's my nature to look for ways to complicate things!!  (I enjoy problem solving)  If I get the LCC working they way I envision, operation should be less complicated!

I have made lots of headway on the staging yard.  Hopefully trains will be running by the end of the month.

Wow, it looks so neat and easy🙀 But  it's really cheating. You're supposed to lay on your back underneath the layout and reach up  to wire and make all the connections, with hot solder dripping down on your hairy chest. Doing it this way is for sissies. And smart people...

Dennis,

Your layout is going to have more electronics than most people's cars  ;).  Looking forward to your next video.

Scott
There's a prototype for everything.
If you can't make it perfect, make it adjustable.
DCC is not plug-n-play.

You have pointed out everything I hate about wiring!!  Getting solder out of your chest hair is no joke!!

I can't take any credit for this method... other than searching for alternative methods, I hate working under the layout.  Alan and his LK&O Railroad blog is where I came up with the idea!!  http://www.lkorailroad.com/about/  I believe he also posts on The Railwire as well. He is the smart one, I'm a copy cat!!  ;-)
