    • Trying to model the BCR Fort St John BC (again)...while living in Australia (what could possibly go wrong?)

Very nice Andy.  Jeff makes a part for the bells on he front left corner of the carbody (perhaps you are waiting on them).  Decals for the number boards?

Tim

Yes the bells are on their way as part of a larger order from Canada.    My reference photos show these units with white number boards with small black lettering.  I don't see a suitable text on the Microscale sheet but I am looking in my decal box for a suitable font.

Yes your two units have the opposite of my three which had white numbers on black boards. my old model of 570 in he later scheme has hte white number boards but I do not recall where I got the numbers from.  it would likely have been another Microscale set.

Painted some locomotive handrails.

Also, I was inspired by @Ed Kapuscinski doing his DCC in a Box project, and as a first step in doing my own version of that, I got an Arduino to speak DCC with JMRI running on my laptop to control it.  Now to put it in a box with a raspberry pi, touchscreen, and keyboard and I'll have my own DCC in a Box.

I had a great time running with the N scale Modutrak group at RPM Chicagoland.
There were lots of beautiful models on display along with great clinics and presentations.
It’s always nice to catch up with train friends.

This is a frakking great scene. I seriously thought this image was proto...

After I studied it for a while (when I recovered) I realized the only giveaway was the tree. Barely.

EXACTLY what I thought when I first viewed the photo.  I had to go back and forth between the proto and model photos to figure out which was which.  Awesome work.

That is exactly why I commented on the color of the grass. Model was so close in color to the photo of the real thing that I jokingly mentioned that it almost looked like it was Photoshopped.  Mark is doing some excellent modeling, and the whole premise of modeling actual town building-by-building, is also awe-inspiring.

Pretty much done detailing this Cargill facility. I just need Trainworx to hook me up with some 53' trailers.

The thing lights up like a Christmas tree, which should put a smile on Peteski's face  ;)

Nothing spectacular on my railroad this week, but the paint shop has been busy.
