Wow... He wasn't even discrete about robbing the railroad blind was he?!?
He appears to be quite proud of it.

Such cars weren't uncommon at the time, and were much cheaper than a business car, and the locomotive to haul it, if The Boss wanted to inspect the line.

You know, the Atlas product archive is online with photos. It doesn’t take much effort to look it up.

That archive is actually at Trovestar -- the Atlas site only lists this year's announcements.
Please be more precise in your future answers.

Wow Al, you're something else.

1. So you did poke around the Internet and found those pictures too. So you seem capable of doing your own research.  Excellent!

2. If you hover over the photos here, you will see that their URL points to Atlas, not Trovestar.
If you incapable of doing that, here are the links to those 2 pictures:
http://archive.atlasrr.com/Images/NFreightCars/n36cab/33422.jpg
http://archive.atlasrr.com/Images/NFreightCars/n36cab/0408/33423_TQ.jpg
If Trovestar has identical pictures, then they must have linked to or copied them from Atlas, not the other way around.

I have to agree.  I am building a whole new layout and have no desire to share any of it because of stuff like that.

Guys, the merely obvious - like most forums, TRW has an "ignore user" feature. Saves a lot of heartburn and headache once you have learned that somebody is prone to  :RUEffinKiddingMe:  posts. You always have the opportunity to override the ignored text for what they had to say if you think it may be of value in context.

It's certainly worked for me - ignore-ance is bliss.   ;)

Show me.. Post screen shots with a step by step instructions on how to do it...
(Kidding of course)

Hmm.. I wonder who has me on ignore??..

I saw there was an ignore topic option, but could there be an ignore topic containing "_____" word (i.e. tariff, trump, ect)..

Back on topic (sort of).. I as surprized that McGinnis only ran NH for less than 2 years?.. Given that.. I'm amazed by how much of a visual impact he made to the railroad in that time...

Although like Rock Island..  a flashy new paint scheme isn't going to fix the underlying problems plaguing a railroad.

Now, let's go find that ignore button.....

He basically is responsible for ushering in the bold graphics era to corporate America in general.  So he gets credit for that, even though most of the NH "New Image" campaign was implemented after he left.

He was also fond of spending money, and skimming off the top, a practice that eventually landed him in prison.

Its arguable that New Haven wouldn't have survived no matter what but he certainly did not help matters.

From a modelers perspective his influence definitely made New Haven and Boston & Maine more interesting roads.

Edit: I was going to argue that Crump and Canadian Pacific beat him on the bold graphics and "complete corporate image makeover" with their 1947 Spans the World image (which encompassed their Railway, Airline, Trucks, Ships and Hotels)
...but they weren't exactly "Corporate America"  :D
