Finally! Trolley poles are on PE 1124!

I would like to thank Volkmar of https://interurbanmodels.blogspot.com/ for using his 3d printer for making N Scale trolley poles! These are articulated and both can be up or down! They are very affordable and installation was very simple. Simply put a 1mm (or for us stupid Americans who still use the antiquated British Empirical system, 3/64th inch drill bit) into a pin vise and drill through the roof at the correct location.

They look very nice.

But to your point about units... 3/64" is nowhere near 1mm.

1mm is .0393"   3/64 = .0469"  (rounding both to 4 digits)

How does this work?  Is the fit just a little sloppy with a 3/64", but you can make it work with enough glue?

Perhaps a #60 drill (.040" or 1.016mm)?

Nevermind.  apparently the mounting is a very fat millimeter.  (see next post)

Are they sprung, so they follow the wire, or are they "moveable" in the sense they can be moved to whatever position one likes, and then stay there?

they are not sprung,  they are movable in the sense that you can raise and lower them
