WS Just Plug Lights

Pardon the simple question...I'm rubbish with things electronic.  If I clip the connector off those WS gooseneck and lantern style lights, will they be ok with a  9V battery powering them?

Yes, with a 1K resistor or so. This is what I did on my T-trak module.
