AKA GP7.
With a steam generator.
I believe the air tanks are on the roof to allow for a larger fuel tank.
I believe it's to allow for a water tank for the steam generator.Jason
From what I can see, for the Valpo "dummy" (local), not only do you need an ES-15-ms, you may need that particular ES-15-ms- #8551. I have a copy of Trackside around Chicago 1957-1965 (DeRouin). It has 2 photos of the Valpo local, taken by George Speir, one in 1963 and another in 1964, both with 8551 on point.
