I always thought it was silly that the some other forums (like the Atlas forum) didn't allow mentioning that evil website's name.  :RUEffinKiddingMe:  But hey, if it stokes your stoker, than by all means, be ominous and don't mind me.  :)

You could mention ebay on the old A forum... The taboo was linking to auctions...
The Railwire is not your personal army.

Ahhh, but everybody was also calling it "the website that cannot be mentioned" (or something similar).  Over here nobody complains about eBay linking either (at least in the appropriate section of the forum).

Buy two more than you need, wait a month after they're sold out, put them on eBay and recoup the price you paid for the ones you kept. Easily recoup.

I was thinking that and will probably do it...

On this forum there is no reason to pussyfoot around the names of aucion sites.  It is not your father's forum. SO you can shout:

eBay, eBay, EBAY!!!

 :D  :)  :D  :)

Whoa, they're charging $15/lighting kit installed. Did the pricing go up on LEDS that much, or are they seriously trying to discourage people from buying pre-lit?

That's been the standard markup on lit N scale passenger cars/sets since Kato USA started offering it about 8-9 years ago.

The pre-lit Kobo light kit installed versions sell better then one would think.

Enjoy!

They're available at MBKlein now.  DGLE and Tuscan GG1's, 10-car sets, 4-car add ons and the ATSF sleeper.

Speaking of lite kits, where can somebody buy those 11-214 warm LED kits?

After what appeared to be unimpressive sales of the initial run, it will be interesting to see how well this run sells.

Yeah thinking the same. I was surprised when I saw a blowout of the BLI P70's at MBK that forced me to buy the last two, so maybe there is an appetite for PRR passenger stuff again. I already have 18 custome Lima P70's that I made.

The first BWL set was enough for me.

I ordered the four car add on set and the Santa Fe sleeper. I never got around to buying both when I got the original 10 car set as a gift. Kept waiting for a great deal on eBay. Never found one and they dried up. Glad to fill in the gap.

So far, pretty well.

Although there were several other smaller factors, the original run suffered heavily from the economy at the time (the Great Recession...that was an interesting time trying to move product).

It will be interesting to see how the 20th Century Limited does when it comes out since it won't be hampered (hopefully) by such things.

Anywhoo...enjoy!

MB Klein sold 12 of the 10 car set between last night when I saw it and early this morning, so I'd say it's selling well.

Just a thought here, but I would suggest that with the release of the K4, M1, and the BLI P70, along with numerous heavyweight releases from MT, since the last time Kato released the BL, there are a lot more modelers running PRR passenger trains generally, and that Kato's new Broadway release is benefiting from increased demand as a result.

Thanks for the inside info Kelley!  Nothing like getting the facts right from the horse's mouth (so to speak).  :D

I'm in for the 20th Century Ltd. set!  Been waiting for decades. But if Kato produced the Dreyfus Hudson, the 20th Cent. Ltd. would sell even better than with Diesels.  However I know that Kato has its hands full with the Big Boy.  Hey,  maybe in the future release there will be another run with the steam engine? One can hope.

I have at least one of every KATO classic passenger train set.  I don’t have the UP modern excursion train. And I am on the fence on the CN set upcoming. But I will buy the NYC set.
