second the use of lightweight spackle over foam.  It works well and is indeed lightweight.

It's NOT the same as regular spackle.

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

I third it!

It's great stuff and every time I pull out my tub to work with it I quietly add another to my mental tab of "beers I owe Foxxy".

I suggest lightweight spackling.  Unlike joint compound, you can slather lightweight spackling on thicker without nearly as much cracking.  Once dry, lightweight sparkling is the consistency of foam, so it's easy to modify, if necessary.  Clean up?  Wipe off the putty knife and close the container.  Done.  I like to buy it in the gallon-sized buckets.

Hope this helps,

Can you offer a brand name or specific product name ??

thx

Good evening its been awhile but I've been busy with my contracting buisness has been flooded with work. I have my feeders installed and am now working on scenery such as ballast and ground cover. I only need to complete my staging and install my DCC system. I need to do some static grass ect. I'm also installing some pennsy position light signals soon. I've back dated a bit from the Conrail era to early PC but will still have some Conrail. [ Guests cannot view attachments ]
