They were a tad more colorful at first, but when I applied the clear sealer, it dulled them down. Should have known better. Also, it appears the clear flat I used has had some sort of strange reaction with the paints and/or the rubber underneath, as it all turned shiny. But I'm not starting over; it'll have to do for now.

I had to spray all my rock work with Dullcote from a bottle with an airbrush, spraying from the can always gives me shiney rocks.

You could probably flatten it out and bring up some highlights with a simple acrylic wash... You know, like muddy water!
