New MTL Hummer Preview.

Here's a preview of our Hummer's.  And just to head off the flush of emails expected...no, we won't be offering these in PRR, CR or especially New Haven schemes.   PS...these will only be available on the 137s as part of the pre-order.  at some later date they will be available as seperate kits.

Have a good weekend off and hug a veteran  :D

Wow, the level of details on these is very impressive (considering that it is N scale, and I suspect that the parts count is fairly low).  Excellent!  They look like they are larger scale.  The deeply inset glass is the only thing that is not perfect, but I realize that it is a limitation of the modeling process in this scale. I also have a feeling that someone will relatively quickly come out with flush-mounted ballistic glass inserts. Right @Mark W  ?  :D

Wow, the Micro-Trains web site is showing the DODX flatcars as In Stock.  So, it looks like the pre-orders will be shipping in June as scheduled!   :D

Edit:  Oops, it looks like the olive drab flatcars are scheduled for release in July.

Those flat wheel treads stuck out to me. Of course these pics are larger than scale and probably aren’t as obvious, though I’m sure @Mark W will have 3D prints for those as well.

Not this time.  All my efforts are going into the Trailer set to complement these Humvees.  8)
But more on those in the other thread.  I'm not trying to steal the spotlight from MTL, I'm trying to add more light! Then if some of the bounce light shines on the Trailer sets, thats ok.   :D

My real hope is that MTL will release the 60 and/or 89 foot chain tie-down flats for these, as they are more frequently used for Humvees and light armored vehicles than the triple axle 68' flats that carry the M1A2s.

Just and FYI.   This is re production.  We are still working on detailing the wheels.  We can't do tread due to the small size of it, but the side walls will be addressed once the tooling is finalized.

No kidding - the entire wheel is probably about 1/8" in diameter!
