N Scale Chemical Tanks

I'm looking for some good sources of quick and easy N scale chemical storage tanks.
Not neccessarily the giant ones at refineries, but more like these guys

I've got some of the Walthers ones, but I feel like there's got to be a good answer to fill out my chemical plant on eBay, Amazon, Lowes or Home Depot. But I haven't found the right thing yet.

Anyone have good recommendations?

Please see Cody or Christian at the event Saturday or Sunday. There might be some kits for sale that could be useful.

Nope, need to stay put. But I will be in constant contact with them during the whole event. Also, Cody might not be there Saturday, but will Friday and Sunday. And they have a couple of items reserved just for you...

Wasn't there a Model Power/Heljan at one time that had some tanks, either the pickle plant of the Coverdell paints?

I built these using plastic candle sleeves as one might find on an old brass chandelier and some styrene sheet and strip details.



I also have a million chunks of leftover PVC in 3/4", 1.5" and 2" diameters that could be easily trimmed to fit.
Just glue a piece of sheet styrene to the top and shape it with some sandpaper.  You can add weld lines and what not with paint and weather techniques.  Stick a few ladders and walkways on it, and call it Christmas.

Have you checked Shapeways? IMHO the safety cages, ladders & railings on the tanks would look more to scale if replaced with GMM etched metal parts but I have not ordered any to see how they look in person.

In case you have not seen the GMM safety cage ladders, here is a closeup of one that I installed. Much better looking, close to scale, than 3D prints, IMHO.

To go along with Lee's suggestions I made these out of 3/4" PVC and same size end caps to model tanks used for industrial gases. I used a miter box and cut the top of the end cap off and glued it to one end of the pipe. A little green stuff, sanding and paint and they went on my NTrak module. We won't discuss why they are not on there anymore.

Not a great pic, but that tank on the right is two scotch tape cores stacked, with a styrene top.
