Me too but I can never seem to find any of them.

Tell me about it. Lazy Susan on the workbench? Train show toolbox? Wiring bench? Workshop table? Hidden on the layout, and if so, where? And once I find one, it's not the size/shape/style I need. [...sigh...]

It was a good weekend.

And the frames getting their final touches applied last night (corner blocks being glued in). It's amazing how much room there is for activities when I actually clean up after myself!

Next step: glue down the foam and then the track.

Is that a Samsquanch on the TV?

Been working on this for quite some time but wanted to wait until it was weathered to post it.

My weekend was bluer than Christmas at Graceland. [ Guests cannot view attachments ] Four GP38s, 2 B40-8s, and one each of GP40 and B23-7.
Look at the customized decals for the 7889. (Below.) The paint shop screwed up the crossing gates on both sides!

Very nice!!!

Have you numbered your GP40 yet?

If not, be careful! Conrail got rid of a bunch of them in the early 80s and if you're modeling AFTER that you want to choose a number that was still around.

According to the CRHS website 3264 was the last GP40 left. So, 3264 it is!

Here's the list of what I did:

B23-7 1956.
The B40-8s are 5077 and 5089 in CR Quality paint. I still need to install the L-shaped grab irons on the nose.
GP38 7889 and 7906 in OLS paint. 7890 in regular CR paint with white number boards and 7868, the Philadelphia Division engine.
I also renumbered one of my CRQ Walthers GP38-2s to 8259. Sorry, no photo.

All were based on photos found online. The Operation Lifesaver lettering was seemingly applied randomly. I isn't the same on both sides of one locomotive sometimes.
