Another thing I like about building T-TRAK modules is the fact that I can use them as test beds for scenery techniques that are new (to me).
I started this module a few years ago, but put it on the back burner for quite awhile. I finally picked it back up and finished it last year.
A simple single (built from a T-Kits kit), representing a typical small freshwater creek. This was my test of the new Woodland Scenics Deep Pour water product....excellent results and pretty much foolproof.

Inspiration was gathered from a number of creeks in our general vicinity.Here is a pic of our pups investigating 'Burnt Corn Creek' in Brewton, AL







I used a jigsaw to cut and drop the module deck to a lower level, filled the gaps with foam, then used sculptamold to form the general contours.
I adjusted the Rix highway overpass 'bridge' to fit, then sceniced the creek bed.
After sealing the creek bed, I created a couple of dams for the pour, then followed the directions to the letter. I tinted the clear deep pour water with a little of the 'murky' tint so I had control over the coloring. After the Deep Pour water was cured, I used the Woodland Scenics 'water ripples' product to create the shallow ripples and eddies.

Yea, no kidding. A little bit of cloning in Photoshop and telling where the module ends and the real field begins would be impossible.

OK This is like THE GODFATHER. Between Ed on FB urging me come to the dark side.
I'm going to plan to go for it - Means some planning and parting with current layout.
I don't want to to tear it down, plus with T-TRAK it's a fresh start. Wish me luck I'm

Why do you have to part with the current layout?  The beauty of T-TRAK is that you could just build one or two modules, which you could store under your current layout- unless you're planning to build a new layout made out of T-TRAK modules.

That bridge scene is amazing, the Kato unitrak is very convincing, all the modules here are stunning

Here is how that simple 'Bushy Creek' single fits in with a couple of other modules that I display at train shows. This photo was taken at the record breaking National T-TRAK Layout at the National Train Show in Kansas City last August.

here are my two favorite modules at the National T-TRAK Layout in Kansas City last August.
2 doubles, built by a gentleman in New York (I forget his name), that display excellent 'diorama' techniques, while still keeping the double tracks parallel to the front fascia. It really creates a 'snapshot' scene.
What's even more incredible about these modules is that most of the buildings are built from cardstock!

Question:  Does TTrak have a power standard?  (DC or DCC?)  I imagine on the large gatherings DCC is the rule, but with just the two tracks, it seems to me it would be dirt simple to swing both ways...

Is it up to the group hosting which way one throws the toggle? or is there something in the TTrak Bible that forbids old school?
