Thankfully @Ntrainz1 visited to do some track tuning to the crossings approach to the south staging yards (before the overhead track installation impedes partial access to this area).

Who me? Asking for trouble? Nah!

Everything you do is very well done - even professional packaging.  Nice!

I’ve been attending Prof. Peteski’s online GE Locomotive Improvement course this week. Unfortunately, I failed the first lab:

After obtaining more material, I did finally pass. I didn’t take a photo of the completed truck modification but I was successful the second time. I also installed true scale couplers and what may have been the last TCS MZA4 decoder made. Weight was added to the cab for a total weight of 46.8 grams. This is a future Kentucky Electric Steel switcher.

Good to know that you found that write-up helpful. If someone else is interested, this is the write-up.  I just updated it, giving some additional hints on how to grind those electric pickup fingers. I also still owe some members those circuit boards. Please be patient with me.  :)

Working on new grade crossing on odd industrial road that opens up to full two-lane highway:

Mark, how can I get some of the tank detail packs? I purchased one each of the three sets so I would need enough for 15 tanks.

Point353:  I've long wondered where they were coming from.  Thank you!  So, probably up the WV Turnpike (I-77), to Charleston, then west.

I’ve almost managed to shoehorn an ESU 73100 decoder in my GP18. I used a Soberton 8x12 speaker in a styrene box. I should have taken a picture before I put the shell on, but it’s a very tight fit and I’m not going to take it off just for a picture. It’s installed, the engine runs well and sounds great, but the cab won’t fit. The front end of the decoder is right inline with where the front of the cab should be. Not a problem for a high hood, but less than ideal for a low nose. I’m going to cut out the front window of the cab and replace it with clear styrene. If I then add a couple of strips of white decal to the top and the bottom it should look ok. Then I’ll need to make it look like it hasn’t had a wash in five years. Even with the cab problem I’m quite pleased with how my first N scale sound installation is going.

Looking at the dimensions, too bad you didn't use 54650 decoder - looking at it, I think you could safely shave off a millimeter or even a bit more from the length.

I started to paint and add details to the Missoula freight house.  So much left to do.

BLMA when they were available before The Atlas buyout. From a show in Washington. Some on-line
stores have them. Or at least don't say SOLD OUT. https://www.amazon.com/N-Concrete-K-Rail-Barrier-12/dp/B000Z5ZPU0

Thanks for the info Chuck.  I didn't know BLMA makes those.
