Looking good. The depth you created in the middle of the photo by layering foreground images to the sides works great -- really draws you in. Great transition from the foreground to the backdrop too -- looks so natural if not for that that pesky shadow from the telephone poll.

Final thoughts: maybe you could fiddle with the color of the light? Try a little warmer? Might try a little brighter overall too? I'd also be curious to see what it looked like in black and white and with some added film grain. BTW, apologies about barking out suggestions in my earlier post. It's the art director in me.

I would also crop out the black fascia on the bottom to avoid the distraction.

My Photoshop efforts: Blew out the sky and whites to mimic snapshot, increased overall contrast, blurred the sides and foreground, added a little grain and sepia tint.

And now I can post photos!

All aboard!

I wana play!  This scene blends into the background perfectly!  Just need to fix the white balance on the background photo.
A bounce card on the left side will brighten up those shadows a touch too.

The light color looks good to me, for a western desert scene.  Light out there tends to be bluer than in the eastern US, probably because the sky is clearer.

Parades are a very, very big deal here in Flyover.
they are still big in rural Arizona, and I have been in parades in Long Beach and Hollywood
