But, they work!

Thanks for making these!
Since they are printed and not injection molded, how about making the stand offs with a hole in them for the wire?  You could make all of the holes line up when the parts are on the sprue, so you just have to pass the wire through the holes before trying to remove the parts.  You could then make them a little thinner without fear of the wire coming loose, after it is installed.

Thanks, Chris, that will help later when I start using different resins.

I'm drawing up a caboose that was built in WP's shop out of 36 foot outside braced boxcars. It'll be the next one to try to print.

The oil tank that was printed upside down came out great. The other one will need a little sanding where all the supports were attached on the top of the tank.

With all this work we're doing for Mikado parts, Kato's re-release of the Mikado next year may as well be confirmed!  8)

This is amazing stuff guys, and I'm even more amazed since it almost came out of no where!

I think Shapeways had something to do with it. Used to be able to get orders in a week and my last order said over a month. Plus there are all types of price increases. On the Shapeways forums there are many people who are just plain pissed off. They switched to UPS Mail Innovations a while back. The website and their logo changed as well. If it was still the old Shapeways doubt I would have bought this printer.

maybe ..  currently have a prusa i3 clone for PLA and others ..hot filament style,
not sure about the cleanup involved in a resin printer, primary focus will be HO extras

$5 cheaper on the 3Dprintersbay than when I bought it:
https://www.3dprintersbay.com/anycubic-photon

Anyone get the version with the yellow Plexi inserts instead of blue? I read the yellow is an older version and the top of the lead screw is different on it.

Edit: Blue is old, Yellow is newer.

Judging from comments on amazon, I think blue is older?

Victory!  Grey resin has been conquered!

TLDR: New variable to account for: plate zero +/- per resin

And V2 Tank Treads are officially in production and available!

The problem I was having was "platform peel" which, like may other issues, can be caused by a number of different variables.  The default fix is usually increasing bottom layer exposure time, however in this case I was already at 110 seconds for 50 microns (remember the bottle recommends 20-80).  Something just felt off, so I decided to re-level and re-zero the build plate, again.

I got good level, but decided to try giving the plate a little extra headroom, thinking maybe the resin for the first few layers was being squished away.  I remember specifically setting my first zero an extra .01mm snug, so this time I made it .02mm loose.

Rather than wait a full build, I paused the print and checked the platform: nothing.  Everything was stuck to the FEP.  After removing the platforms, I compared the fully un-stuck to the partial peeled and noticed the same texture where things did not stick.  Welp, let's try making the zero .03mm snug.   :scared:  I really didn't feel comfortable doing this for fear of damaging the LCD, but it had to be tested.  And, well, that must have been it.  The next three prints, including the full platform, are perfect.

oops yes the blue is older with a bearing sticking out the top of the lead screw. Yellow is newer with a flat plate above the lead screw. There was also a photo on Facebook showing the 3 different power supplies that were used, but finding something on FB is just about impossible.

Need to see the grey stuff after it's cleaned.
