Engineering department car, (over)loaded with sensor gear. The "jet engines" are distance measuring arrays for logging clearance profiles.

My 100th photo on Flickr! Not sure why a Southern Railway sleeper is in the L&N/CSX stronghold of Corbin, but it's there for some reason.

MOW along Lake Champlain between Ticonderoga and Whitehall NY.  Caboose was pretty fresh paint, skinned with no glass.

Man, I love that whole area. Got to see some while going to Quebec a few years ago and it now kills me that most everyone who models the D&H does the southern stuff.

Well fine, there’s also that big Rutland causeway section, but there’s that iconic D&H on Lake Champlain section on the NEB&W.  It’s worth a visit.
